Care Homes
Lucy-Rose is passionate about bringing music to all people and has spent many years doing various forms of musical outreach. Lucy-Rose often performs in care homes, interacting with the residents and encouraging them to join in with songs that are being played. This is rewarding work, as she often finds that even those who may struggle to verbally communicate are able to communicate in another form whilst listening to music. As well as playing solo music, Lucy-Rose often arranges for other musicians to visit care homes, sometimes for a series of concerts in one care home if they desire - these can include string, brass or vocal groups. As well as concert visits, Lucy-Rose also runs workshops in care homes which involves residents interacting with small percussion instruments that Lucy-Rose brings with her.

Young People & Families
Lucy-Rose currently works for the Royal Northern College of Music Creative Engagement department, having been a Junior Fellow ther 2019 - 2021. Her role includes putting on family days involving music and activities as well as a concert series of relaxed, family focussed concerts. Lucy-Rose also helps to organise conferences for young people who are interested in a profession in the performing arts. Many industry professionals attend these inspiring days, giving workshops, advice and partaking in panel discussions to the hundreds of young people who attend.
Covid-19
During the covid-19 pandemic, Lucy-Rose created the 'Musical Care Box'. These were letter-sized boxes sent to care homes and individuals nominated by their friends and families - often vulnerable people who were feeling isolated and alone during this time. These boxes were sent through the post and contained a DVD concert. Many professional musicians sent in home-recordings of themselves playing and singing which were in turn edited together to create a full-length concert for the recipients to enjoy. As well as a DVD, these boxes contained biscuits, tea, a personalised note and chocolates to try and boost their mood and remind them that people were thinking about them.
